Sota el nom artístic de Genius T, s’amaga Genís Trani, nascut el 1982 al barri de Gràcia de Barcelona. Comença des dels 4 anys aprendre a tocar el Violí, als 6 el Piano i als 8 la Bateria, cursant a part Solfeu al Liceu i al Taller de Musics. Als 15 anys li comença a interessar el món de la producció musical ia tenir les primeres bandes amb què farà els seus primers concerts. Ja als 18 comença a punxar en festes d’amics i acaba sent membre d’un dels primers Sounds Systems de Espanya, One blood Sound. De mica en mica va veient com el Reggae és l’estil que més l’acompanya fins avui, encara que sempre li ha interessat qualsevol estil musical. Viatjant a Jamaica, acompanyant artistes Jamaicans en directe amb la seva pròpia banda, produint per al Segell de la família Marley i punxant discos a diversos festivals d’europea. La seva vida de productor l’ha fet treballar amb artistes com Kabaka Pyramid, Stonebwoy, Macaco, Iyaz i també amb artistes catalans com Stay Homas, Triquell, Lildami, o Meritxell Neddermann.

Bajo el nombre artístico de Genius T, se esconde Genís Trani, nacido en 1982 en el barrio de Gracia de Barcelona. Empieza desde los 4 años aprender a tocar el Violín, a los 6 el Piano y a los 8 la Batería, cursando a parte Solfeo en El Liceo y en el Taller de Musics. A los 15 años le empieza a interesar el mundo de la producción musical y a tener sus primeras bandas con las que hará sus primeros conciertos.Ya a los 18 empieza a pinchar en fiestas de amigos y termina siendo miembro de uno de los primeros Sounds Systems de España, One blood Sound. Poco a poco va viendo como el Reggae es el estilo que mas le acompaña hasta el día de hoy, aunque siempre le ha interesado cualquier estilo musical. Viajando a Jamaica, acompañando artistas Jamaicanos en directo con su propia banda, produciendo para el Sello de la familia Marley y pinchando discos en varios festivales de europa. Su vida de productor le ha llevado a trabajar con artistas como Kabaka Pyramid, Stonebwoy, Macaco, Iyaz y también con artistas catalanes como Stay Homas, Triquell, Lildami, o Meritxell Neddermann.

Under the artist name of Genius T, Genís Trani, born in 1982 in the Gracia neighborhood of Barcelona. He begins to learn to play the Violin at the age of 4, the Piano at 6 and the Drums at 8, taking part in Solfeggio at El Liceo and at the Taller de Musics. At the age of 15 he began to be interested in the world of musical production and to have his first bands with which he would do his first concerts. At the age of 18 he began to DJ at friends’ parties and ended up being a member of one of the first Sounds Systems in Spain, One blood Sound. Little by little he begins to see how Reggae is the style that most accompanies him to this day, although he has always been interested in any musical style. Traveling to Jamaica, accompanying Jamaican artists live with his own band, producing for the Marley Family Label and playing records at various festivals in Europe.
